Professor Harold G. Koenig, MD, MHSc, is Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences, Associate Professor in Medicine and founder of the Centre for the Study of Religion/Spirituality and Health at Duke University Medical Centre.
He is an international leader in research on Religion/Spirituality and Health. He has published several hundred scientific articles and his books include The Handbook of Religion and Health. He is the editor of the International Journal of Psychiatry in Medicine, and his research on religion, health, and ethical issues in medicine has been featured on many national and international television and radio programs. He is a board member of the World Psychiatric Association section on Religion and Psychiatry and the recipient of many professional awards and honours and has been nominated twice for the Templeton Prize for progress in religion. | |
